1- Choose a luxurious piece

If you want to style your dressing gown or your pajama outside of your bedroom, the first thing to consider is the fabric. You want the fabric to be luxurious, and the design to be well made. Not all pajamas can be worn as clothes. Start with a silk shirt that you can wear as a blouse, a long silky dressing gown that you can wear as a dress, or a lace bralette that peeks through the fabric of your shirt. The black dressing gown in these photos would be perfect for a chic event, as it has a little retro touch with a luxurious feel.

2- The right accessories can make the difference

Even if you are wearing a pajama or a dressing gown, you don't want to look like you are wearing a pajama. The trick is to accessorize it! High heel boots, a nice belt, or even jewelries can add details to the outfit. If you have a pajama with bold prints, try to use dainty jewelries rather than statement pieces.

3- Own It

You are wearing a nightwear item in the streets, so what? Designers like Gucci, Alexander Wang and Dolce & Gabbana have all included nightwear pieces in their runaway collections this year. It is the coolest trend of 2016!
