In the past year or so, I've tried to buy a few pieces here and there that were better quality than what I already had in my closet. This Equipment shirt is one of them. The reason I'm doing this change is because I'm trying to take better care of my clothes so they can last longer. Of course, I still have a lot of pieces from Zara, H&M and other giant retailers. However, I do my best at picking pieces with fabrics that feel more durable. It's a change in progress...
Another aspect that I've been changing is the way I wash and store my clothes. I take care of it myself (that way I can't blame anyone if something bad happens to a piece of clothing). I also make sure to read every labels for caring instructions. For storage, I only hang the pieces that can't be damaged by the hangers. Which means, I only hang shirts, vests, jackets, dress, skirts, and formal trousers. For sweaters, t-shirts, jeans, and fitness apparel, I fold them in the KonMari way (don't worry, this is the only KonMari principle I'm using).
Basically, I'm just doing everything I can to make my clothes last longer. In the future, I definitely want to make more responsible purchases (that are also good for the environment, the people, and the economy), but I'm doing this one step at a time... Do you have any advices for me?
