Happy Friday! The weekend could not come soon enough for me. I’ve been feeling all over the place this week and on the whole, very unproductive. April will be an extremely busy month and I guess my mind and body just wanted to relax for a little while longer. I definitely need to stay on track with my organization to make sure I complete everything on time. If you’re in the same boat as me, this blog post on The Anna Edit will be really helpful.
But I have learned one thing: to be productive and motivated, you first have to be in a good and relaxed state of mind. And for me the best way to do that is to listen to inspiring podcasts, watch creative videos, and dance to good music. Below are the things I’ve enjoyed the most recently…
Fleabag & Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s 73 Questions
The first time I tried watching Fleabag, I wasn’t really into it. But somehow, it changed and now I absolutely adore the dry-witted comedy in the show. It’s about a woman trying to get through modern life while coping with the death of her best friend. Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who wrote and acted in the series, is incredibly talented. I’ve just finished season 1 and am excited to start the new season after all the good reviews I’ve seen online. And if you’re as obsessed as me, I recommend watching her 73 Questions interview with Vogue because it’s the best one they’ve ever posted.
On The Line with Brittany Bathgate
I’ve also really enjoyed Estée Lalonde’s On the Line interview with blogger Brittany Bathgate. They discuss tailored style, advertising guidelines on Instagram and ‘caring’ for clothes. I’ve mentioned in the past my admiration for Brittany’s attention to detail with her wardrobe and it was amazing to get the back story of how it developed. Really one to listen if you’re into learning more about personal style!
Sunnavind, the new album by Mares
My favourite band in the world just released their first proper album ‘Sunnavind’, which means '‘South Wind’ in Swedish. Since it came out, I haven’t stopped dancing to it. Their songs make me think of summer and happy times.
And for my follow French-Canadians, I highly recommend you watch Sarah-Maude Beauchesne’s short series ‘Fourchette’ inspired by her blog of the same name. It was romantic, funny, sad, relatable, real, and so much more! I binge-watched it in one evening.
The Daily Edit
Finally, a shout-out to my favourite YouTuber who’s been posting one video every single day of this month for ‘The Daily Edit’, the one and only Anna Newton. You’ll love it if you want to learn more about organization, capsule wardrobes, Glossier Play, meal prep and more!
