When everyone seems to be welcoming the warm and humid temperatures with their arms wide open, the only thing I can think about is Fall, and how much I’m looking forward to it. I mean, I’m even more excited this year knowing it won’t get as cold as it does in Montreal. Living in London means I can finally experience the seasons properly and get a milder winter (which to me, is the best of both worlds). Autumn is the epitome of cozyness. It’s also the best time of the year for fashion because you get to wear leather boots and wool coats, and play with layering, warm tones and beautiful textures. I’m already picturing myself watching a movie with cashmere socks on while drinking a cup of creamy Earl Grey (the Fairmont one). You also don’t have to feel guilty for staying in because that’s what everyone wants to do, especially when it’s pouring rain outside. Fall is romantic. And finally, it’s also when you start thinking about Christmas, but I won’t go too far ahead of myself here.

It is weird because the warm seasons used to be my favourites, and now my opinion is changing. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting older and seeing the world with a different lens. Or maybe it’s because I know I am not returning to school and instead I have planned more fun things to do like going to Paris during fashion week or moving (ok not so fun, but exciting nonetheless). Fall, I would argue, is the perfect season for new beginnings, and maybe that is why I enjoy it so much.

What is your favourite season?
