Let me introduce you to an awesome book, Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. This novel, which is the first book published by Gail Honeyman, is the story of a 30-year-old woman with a witty personality who went through so much and has to learn how to open her heart. Eleanor has a routine that she follows very precisely: go to work, eat, watch television, and chat with mummy. She doesn't feel connected to anyone, and says literally everything that goes through her mind. Until she meets Raymond, the new IT guy at work. Together, they rescue an old man in the street and Eleanor's world changes completely. By becoming 'pals' with Raymond, she has to open her heart, make peace with something that happened years ago, and take care of herself. This is a heartbreaking yet hilarious book that everyone should read.

It is a brilliant novel with a charming character! The book discusses mental illnesses and isolation with such grace and open-mindedness. It is something I wish I had read a few years ago, and I'll tell everyone around me to read it because it is entertaining and eye-opening. The lessons of opening up to the world, trusting people and having confidence in yourself are priceless! At first, Eleanor Oliphant made me think of Bridget Jones with her terrific personality, but she is much more than that. Mental illnesses are so common and this author made the point to show that it is often undetectable; so talk to your friends, open up, and don't be scared to share your story with people you trust!

The book comes out on May 9th and you should all pick up a copy!
