2017 was a great year for reading. So far, I've read 41 books for pleasure (which means I read 12 more books than last year). In the last months, I think I really discovered the genre of book I like. Non-fiction books are what I love to spend time reading, especially when they feature beautiful images. I like when books are about fashion, lifestyle, careers or Scandinavia. But don't get me wrong, I also love to read fiction, especially contemporary fiction oriented towards women (yes we can call that "chick lit"). I used to be embarrassed to say this, but not anymore. I think reading is meant to be a pleasurable activity just like watching tv. When reading a book for fun, I don't want to feel like I'm reading a school book. So this brings me to the next topic... books for 2018. Here are the "coming soon" or "just released" books that I am more than excited to read.

The F Word - Lily Pebbles

Lily has always been one of my favorite YouTubers. She is honest and I really feel I could trust what she recommends or what she says. This year she is releasing a book all about friendships. Her announcement video was amazing, and I suggest you check it out!

Everything I Know About Love - Dolly Alderton

I can't tell you much about this book because I myself don't know much about it either. But what I will tell you is if you are a lover of romantic comedies and what to hear someone's insight into growing up and experiencing different kinds of love, you should pick up a copy.

A Selfie As Big As The Ritz: Stories - Lara Williams

I'm not going to lie, what drew me to this book is the beautiful cover and the fact that the Belletrist book club talked about it on their Instagram. This book is a collection of short stories (which I always find challenging but oh well) about being in your twenties, loneliness, love, and more!

A Paris - Jeanne Damas

Raise your hand if your style has been influenced by this French it girl! (raising my hand). This book is a mix of photos and texts presenting different Parisian women and what makes them so French. This book also offers a list of great restaurants, shops, and cafes to discover in Paris.

What are you excited to read in 2018?
