VIDEO - Coaticook Roadtrip

Hello y'all! I just uploaded a new video on my You Tube channel, it's a from a road trip I did with two of my best friends to celebrate the beginning of our summer holidays! We went to Coaticook, a place where I used to go with my grandparents when I was younger. There is so much things to do, and it's right next to the US border. We walked on one of the longest suspended bridge, went on top of a tower, hiked, ate ice cream,... see for yourself! Love. S.

Moving

“There’s nowhere else like London. Nothing at all, anywhere.” – Vivienne Westwood

As long as I remember, I always had the idea to move to a big city. It started with New York, when I was 7 years old, and my dream lasted through all the years of elementary school. This phase was probably a consequence of me watching too many movies happening in The Big Apple. Have any of you heard of "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen"? It used to be my number one pick, and I was dreaming that maybe one day I could be living this fabulous New York

cliché

life; living in a penthouse on Fifth Avenue, having breakfast at Tiffany’s, and scattering my ashes at Bergdorf Goodman #delusional. After visiting the city a couple of times, I thought that it was maybe a bit too touristic for me, but I still enjoy NYC classics such as Sex and The City, the New Year’s Eve special on television, and of course the semi-annual MBFW. A while after, I said to my parents that I would like to move to Paris one day, and work in fashion. I clearly remember them saying that the flats were pretty expensive in Paris, and that I had plenty of time to change my mind. This "Paris" stage was the shortest.

At the beginning of my high school years, I announced to my parents that at the age of 16, I was going to spend a summer or maybe a year in London to improve my English. Five days after my 16

th

birthday, it happened… but only for a summer, and I felt in love with the city. Being there by myself was the most wonderful experience. I learned so many things from every aspects of life, and also got to build some awesome friendships. When I got back to my hometown, it really felt like something was missing... I did not feel like myself here. Unfortunately, going back to London for college was just unimaginable for many reasons, one of them being this fierce competition between students, and obviously my grades were not allowing me to stand out. After that, I started to think that maybe it was a sign that I should just try another city, and a few Australian cities came to my mind, but... my heart was and is still in London.

After two years I am still experiencing the withdrawal symptoms of leaving a place I love. The thing is, when I was there, I lived as a true local while still doing some touristic stuff. I was waking up everyday in the same bed, taking the tube, going to school, and enjoying what the city had to offer.

A few weeks ago, I announced to my family that as soon as I would graduate from University, I would be moving to London, whatever it would take, even if it were just for a few years. I looked at possible visas, and my mom even caught me looking at spare rooms and flats to rent (but of course it was just to give me a general idea, I am not moving in the next few weeks). I envisioned myself living in some of the neighbourhoods that caught my attention during my previous visit like Notting Hill, South Kensington, Knightsbridge or Sloane Square. Being in London would also give me more opportunities in the work area that I am targeting for the future. I made so many researches and the possibilities would be endless compare to what is offered here for this kind of job. But it is not only for the job, this is my home away from home, and my heart belongs there.

Explaining my motives for wanting to move is almost impossible, it feels like it is an intense pulse, and that I need to do it. Love. S.

Places I Want to Visit

1. Scandinavia (Sweden and Denmark)

Since I went to London last year, I'm fascinated by Scandinavia. Probably because two of my best friends I met there come from this place. Their traditions are soooo fascinating. I never get tired of listening to my friend's stories about their countries. I really want to visit this place during Midsommär (celebration for summer), or the high school graduation period because it's so different from graduation here.

2. Australia

One of my biggest dreams is to go live in Australia for 1 or 2 years after my advanced studies to do internships in the fashion industry there. I just think the Aussie fashion labels are so different from the rest of the world. And also there is so much places I want to visit (Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra...). I couldn't set my mind to one city in particular so I'd have to move often. Oh and Bondi beach would be one of my first stops.

2. Australie

3. Mediterranean Cities (Capri, Corsica, Cannes,...)

The beauty of those places is just unimaginable! I wish I could do yatch rides and then go to a chic restaurant and then just lie down on the sand for the rest of the day. It seems for me that those very fancy cities are made to relax and enjoy the good life.

New York City - Part 1

If you follow me on Instagram you probably already know that I was in New York last week for a short trip with my school. It was more than awesome because I got to meet new people and also to visit parts of NYC that I didn't know. One of the things that caught my attention the most was the Broadway musical I had the chance to see, which is Aladdin. The costumes were spectacular and I had the most amazing night! Also, the High Line really caught my eye because I never felt like I was in a middle of New York... Here are some of my pictures, you'll see the rest of it in another post very soon along with a travel diary video! Love. S.

Love. S.

Looking Back

Last look from my spring break vacations, but it feels like an eternity since I got back from there! I did not expect to have such a blast there, but I met so much incredible people that made my cruise super fun! So for this outfit, something simple but still very classy and fun from Josiane Perron's spring/summer 14 collection. Love. S.

Love. S.

RED

Red is not a color I'm used to wear, but it's something I want to change. Recently, I've been trying different colors and kind of outfits that are out of my comfort zone, and the results are often surprising! This cool casual outfit was perfect for the end of the day at the beach (the same one where we took those pictures). I just love how the whole result looks effortless and natural! Love. S.

). J'adore le résultat naturel du look. Love. S.

Nautical

You might have recognized those pictures from the guest post I did on Nana Toulouse's blog. As you can see, the nautical vibe can't be more noticeable with the background and the colors of my outfit. I choose to pair this dress with my favorite high heel shoes (the higher the best). Hope you like it! Love. S.

Love. S.

Samana

Sometimes, a basic can be more than great when worn alone, in this case, this lovely denim dress from Bodybag by Jude. Since it was a pretty warm day, it was just what I needed for our stopover to Santa Barbara de Samana, in Dominican Republic. To go to this beach, we were in a taxi for almost 40 minutes, and we were to busy looking at the town then getting bored. I remember it was a pretty short but satisfying day, I even slept on the beach because of my lack of sleep. Love. S.

Bodybag by Jude

Love. S.

Mirrored Shades

This outfit is probably my favorite one from the ones I brought in vacation. I love it because I like the pastel shade of the skirt mixed with a beautiful light ivory blouse (both from Josiane Perron's spring collection), and the pop of color from the mirrored shades is probably my favorite part! Oh and the location is very special too, the pictures were taken on my favorite beach of all times, Magen's Bay in St-Thomas, Virgin Islands. It was my second time in St-Thomas and we decided to go at this beach again because we liked it so much the first time, and I heard that it was one of the prettiest beaches from the Caribbeans (hey I totally agree but I have no idea if it's true). Love. S.

Blouse: Josiane Perron/ Skirt: Josiane Perron/ Sandals: Prabal Gurung for Target / Shades: Chicnova

Love. S.

Bodybag by Jude

As soon as I saw this skirt, I knew I had to shoot it in retro vibe, and what was more perfect than this Johnny Rockets restaurant for a 50's atmosphere? Ok right it was on our cruise ship, so there was also the sea behind it (+10 points for the location). This outfit is part of the new spring/summer collection of the brand "

Bodybag by Jude

". I was always hearing good things about this brand, and now that I've tried their clothes, I know why! Their pieces are super useful for everyday outfits because they are absolutely pretty and comfortable too, so there's nothing disappointing about their creations! Love. S.

Bodybag by Jude

Love. S.

Time for Sundresses

Nothing feels better than wearing a pair of sandal and a sundress instead of a coat and boots. Unfortunately, since I'm back to Canada, the weather is still very wintery and spring doesn't seems to come very fast. In today's post, I am wearing this gorgeous printed dress (don't you like the triangles?) created by a Montreal-based designer that I adore, Josiane Perron. I've had the chance to talk to you a little bit about her last fall (you can see my posts

here

and

here

), and I've fallen for her new collection, which this dress is part of. Love. S.

Love. S.
