Softer hues for summer
I have discussed in the past about my obsession with laundry. Unfortunately, it has not been as pleasant since I’ve moved here because of my new laundry facilities (or should I say my awful dryer and the limited space I have to air dry). But it has not discouraged me from taking good care of my garments, especially pieces made with natural fibres. You may remember how much I loved the Wool and Cashmere Shampoo from The Laundress. It is still one of the best products I have ever used, but it is quite pricey and not the easiest to find (although I do I think it is available at Selfridges). This means I had to find an alternative, and the one I chose is the Arket Wool and Silk Wash.
I have to mention that I am not the biggest fan of the smell (especially during the air drying process), but it goes unnoticed after the pieces are completely dry. However, I do think it’s a much more versatile product because it can be used with silk, and overall I feel like my products were super clean. My biggest issue with my tops is the stains left by antiperspirant as they tend to be absorbed by the fabric and it can be a nightmare with wool. My tip to remove them is to rub baking soda powder with water in the concerned spots and then wash the pieces normally with my wool detergent.
Let me know if you have any laundry tips to share!
