If there is one thing that gets me as excited as starting a new book, it’s receiving my developed film photos. I’ve been trying to remember to bring my dad’s old Minolta X-700 camera (which I though he was using at 19, but he confirmed to me that he got it at 14, so it’s very old) everywhere with me to capture the moments of my life in London. This roll regroups a day trip to Brighton, my birthday and a few outings around the city. They turned out much better than I had expected and I’m now going to force myself to take even more photos!
It’s been an absolutely lovely summer and these photos really express the character of London and the way I’ve been feeling (like I’m in a bubble, a time capsule). Unfortunately I can’t use it when it’s too dark because I don’t have a flash. However, I'm already looking forward to bringing it with me to the park this fall and seeing the beauty of the colourful leaves through the 35 mm lens.
Hope you’ve had a nice week!
