Discovering a new city for me starts with visiting museums, shops, and of course, cafés. Although it wasn’t my first time here in London, it is such a big city that I still had lots to learn. My visits to cafés have mostly taken place West, for convenience reason, but I would highly recommend them even if you’re staying East on your next visit. So today I’m sharing with you my recommendations; to enjoy with friends or on your own.

The Laslett

I’m sure it’s not a surprise to anyone that The Laslett is part of my list, it is after all, one of the nicest places I’ve ever been at. You can decide to go during the day for coffee and even stay for lunch. The place is super calm and aesthetically pleasing so it’s the perfect spot for a brainstorming session.

Hjem Kensington

If you are, like me, obsessed with Fika and Scandi culture, this place is for you. It is a cozy café in the heart of Chelsea/South Kensington and they have a beautiful selection of lifestyle books to read and delicious pastries to eat. If I was you I would sit outside in their garden and use their chic wool blanket to warm me up.

Hotshoe 333

For those looking for a calm place to work, look no further than Hotshoe 333 located in the calm section of Portobello Road. The staff is friendly and the music is pleasant to listen to. I’ve done a test for work there and even a phone interview, so it is perfect for your productive days.
