One thing I desperately wanted to see in London was the ‘Dior Designer of Dreams’ exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum. The exhibit traces back the history of the famous Parisian couture house, its designs, and its creative directors. Although it is currently sold out, you can queue early in the morning for day tickets (I suggest coming 1 hour before the museum opens, they sell quickly).
It was absolutely magnificent, and definitely the best exhibition I’ve ever been to (even better than the MET Costume Institute ones). The mix of beautiful garments, interactive decors and music made me feel like I was in a dream. It was so special to see the identities of the different creative directors transposed into the clothes and I had a massive crush for everything by Maria Grazia Churi (she designed the ‘we should all be feminists t-shirt and Chiara Ferragni’s wedding dresses).
Princess Margaret 21st birthday party dress is displayed in one of the rooms as well as a dress Princess Diana wore to the MET gala in the 90s and so many more famous red carpet moments. Lovers of fashion, this one is for you!
