Welcome to August! Time flies so quickly, I'm going back to school in a month and I've already been on vacation for three months. But I have to say I'm so done with summer and the heatwaves. I just want a cozy rainy fall day inside eating soup and watching movies (although that's probably what I'm going to do this weekend because I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed on Friday... fun!). So in the meantime, I wanted to share some of my recent favourites...

Maanesten bracelet

Say hello to the new addition on my wrist: the Bourne bracelet from the Danish brand Maanesten (pictured above). I love the 'wrinkling' detail of the metal, the small pops of color and how delicate it is. I've been wearing it every day since I got it, and I'm so in love with its unique look. This bracelet will always remind me of my 21st birthday. I just love that pieces of jewelry can be associated with people or periods in your life.

Mary Shelley Movie

SUCH A GOOD MOVIE! If you're interested in British literature or you just love movies about the 19th century in England, I highly recommend watching it. Elle Fanning plays the role of Mary Shelly (the author of Frankenstein) and Douglas Booth is in the role of her husband, the poet Percy Shelley. The music and the dark ambiance of the movie were fascinating. I also loved learning about the different connections of the characters with other popular writers like Mary Wollstonecraft or Lord Byron.

Eva Weel Skram

I recently discovered the Norwegian singer Eva Weel Skram and I've been listening to her songs 'Om du vil' and 'Berre La Meg Vær' on repeat! I would say it's kind of a mix between Sigrid and Regina Spektor, but in Norwegian haha! Music is the hardest thing to describe so I would suggest having a listen, her songs will put you in such a happy mood!

Brittany Bathgate x What Olivia Did Video

Lovers of contemporary fashion with a classic and minimalist twist, I have the perfect video for you: an insight into Brittany Bathgate's wardrobe via Olivia Purvis' channel. It was so inspiring to see the level of care she puts into her clothes: from the way she chooses pieces to the way she stores, washes and handles them... it was impressive! Her looks are always on point and I wish I had such a defined style like hers. It was 30 minutes of pure joy.

The return of Fashion Squad?

If you've been following my blog since the beginning, you probably know that Carolina from Fashion Squad was my absolute favourite blogger, and I was gutted when she stopped posting on it (but thankfully she continued posting on Instagram from time to time). I love every single piece and her closet and if I ever get married, I want to wear the head to toe look she wore on her wedding. I could continue to talk about her style for hours, but I just wanted to share that she is relaunching her blog and that's the best news! She announced it on Instagram in the Q&A in her stories and it made me so happy. I went to re-read some of her old posts for fashion and interior inspiration and it reminded me of the old times. I cannot wait!

How to Fail with Elizabeth Day

And finally, a new podcast so I can stop talking about The High Low... Elizabeth Day's How to Fail. The journalist/author interviews different people, which are very successful, about their failures. I think it's such a great way to make us realize that our failures are part of our road to success. I loved the episodes with Dolly Alderton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (the creator and actress of Fleabag), and there's also a new episode out today!

What are your favourites this month?
