Hello you lot! This week has been exactly what I needed to put me in a spring mood. I've been able to wear a dress without tights, and also got soaking wet from the rain when I forgot my umbrella on one of my lunch walks, how amazing is that?! I've also started incorporating more spring/summer transition pieces like these Cougar sneakers which I showed in a recent post. The oatmeal color is seriously my favourite at the moment as it goes with everything. Their lightweight design makes them super comfortable as well. The other pièce de résistance is this stunning Mango linen jacket which I spotted on two of my blogger faves: Lucy Williams and Lindsay from Ropes of Holland. I've been lucky with it so far because it doesn't crease as much as other linen pieces, I think it has to do with the satin lining. It's also a nice change from my leather jacket, which I believe everyone is tired of seeing.
I paired these two items with black culottes and lace slip cami but it would look amazing with a pair of thick (white or cream) wide leg cropped denim. It's something I find is missing from my summer wardrobe as I only have one pair of white mom jeans and I'm constantly reaching for them. Another item I would like to add to my spring/summer wardrobe is a nice pair of lightweight pleated culotte trousers. Aritzia has a really beautiful pair, but I don't feel like spending that much.
Can you see the theme I'm going for here? Lightweight materials, oatmeal colors, pieces that are versatile but with a touch of elegance to them. What are your favourite transition pieces for spring and summer?
