This morning I discovered COS' fall/winter 2016 collection at the Maison des Marins in Montreal. First of all, the exposition room was so luminous and simple,  perfectly aligned with the brand's aesthetic.

The collection is faithful to its usual modern and oversized shapes. The color palette is inspired by the work of the artist Lynette Yiadom Boakye, with shades of purple, forest green, and burgundy. For men, the collection is built around the idea of layering, and some pieces were inspired by life jackets. For women, it was all about lengths, with very long coats, dresses, and sleeves. The purple coat was definitely the star of the collection, there was even a matching trouser.

The pair of shoes (see photo below) was my favorite item of the collection. I love the mix of textures, something that you could see throughout the collection. The fabrics were so soft but heavy, it made me excited for Fall already. Love. S.
