It's the Little Things
From the night I spent at my cabin with my Swedish bestie watching SKAM with a sheet mask on to when my mom cooks my favourite meal or when I discovered an amazing podcast (it was "Let's Discuss")! These are little things that add to my daily routine and make it more special. I have learned this year to not take these things for granted because life is too short to always expect bigger achievements or impressive activities (and these things require more work & patience).
Skincare Starts Young
One thing I keep hearing or reading about is to start taking care of your skin as soon as possible, ideally when you are in your late teens or early adulthood! Even though using skincare products is considered a beauty thing, it is also a healthy thing. Skin is the largest organ of a human body. Nourish it with creams, drink water and figure out what is best for you. Have a skincare routine tailored to your needs and what makes you feel good. And taking care of yourself 10 minutes every night or morning feels like being at the spa, it's an essential to relax and have some down time!
This Is Who I am
This year I've also learned that do not have to change who I am or do things I don't want to do just to please other people. As I've said in a previous post, I'm not big on going out, and that's ok. Style-wise, I also know I don't like some trends and that some clothes don't suit me. I'm just accepting it and I don't want to have to apologize for it. For example, you'll never see me wear a choker or a laced-up V-neck top, it just wouldn't work with my tastes and what looks good on me!
What have you learned this year?
